CoachCenter is a platform that helps independent coaches manage their business. We handle scheduling, payment processing, and client communication so you can focus on coaching. Think of us as your operations team - we take care of the admin work while you do what you do best.

Any coach, private instructor, or independent facility operator offering one-on-one or small group instruction in sports like golf, baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, and more. You must be 18+, able to pass identity verification, and operate in one of our current markets.

We provide you with a professional profile page, online booking calendar, payment processing, and client communication tools. When a client books a lesson with you, we handle the scheduling and payment. After the lesson is completed, we transfer your earnings (minus our platform fee) directly to your bank account within 2-3 business days.

Most coaches are verified within 24-48 hours. You can set up your profile immediately, but you won't receive payouts until verification is complete.

Sometimes Stripe needs additional documentation (business license, proof of address, etc.). If this happens, we'll email you with specific instructions. Contact us at (614) 980-0599 if you have questions.

If you already have a Stripe account for other business activities, you can connect it to CoachCenter. However, we recommend creating a separate Stripe account specifically for coaching income to keep finances organized.

Yes. We use Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest security standard). Your data is encrypted and never shared with third parties. We never store your full SSN, bank account number, or credit card information.

This depends on your local regulations. Most independent coaches operate as sole proprietors and don't need a business license, but check your city/county requirements. We can accept coaches operating as:
Sole proprietors (using SSN)
LLCs (using EIN)
S-Corps or C-Corps (using EIN)
Taxes & Reporting

Yes. If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year through CoachCenter, we'll send you a 1099-K form by January 31st of the following year. This reports your gross earnings to the IRS.

Gross earnings: Total amount clients paid for your lessons
Net earnings: What you actually received after platform fees
Your 1099-K reports gross earnings (what clients paid). Platform fees are a business expense you can deduct on your tax return.

We're not tax advisors, but generally business expenses like platform fees are deductible. Consult with a tax professional (CPA or enrolled agent) to understand your specific situation.

If you expect to owe $1,000 or more in taxes for the year, the IRS requires quarterly estimated tax payments. As an independent contractor, you're responsible for paying both income tax and self-employment tax (Social Security and Medicare). Consult with a tax professional to set up quarterly payments.

You're an independent contractor, not a CoachCenter employee. This means:
You set your own rates and schedule
You're responsible for your own taxes
You don't receive benefits from CoachCenter
You have flexibility and control over your business

This varies by state. Most states don't require sales tax on coaching services, but some do. Check with your state's department of revenue or a tax professional to understand your obligations.

We email you receipts after each lesson. You can also request a full payment summary by calling or texting (614) 980-0599. We recommend keeping all receipts for your records.

Disputes & Problems

If a client files a chargeback with their credit card company:
We'll notify you immediately via email
You'll have 7 days to provide evidence (proof of lesson, communications, attendance records)
We'll submit evidence to Stripe on your behalf
The credit card company makes the final decision
This is why it's important to document all lessons and communications.

Excessive chargebacks (more than 1% of transactions) can result in:
Account review
Increased monitoring
Potential suspension if issues continue
This is rare and usually only happens if there's fraud or consistent service issues. We'll work with you to resolve problems before it gets to this point.

Contact us at (614) 980-0599 and we'll help mediate. Sometimes clients just need clearer communication. If a client is abusive, harassing, or violating our policies, we can ban them from the platform and protect you from future bookings.

We reserve the right to remove coaches who:
Violate our Terms of Service
Engage in fraudulent activity
Consistently provide poor service (based on reviews and complaints)
Harass clients or other coaches
Use the platform for non-coaching services
We'll always communicate with you before taking action and give you a chance to resolve issues.

The better your profile (complete information, good reviews), the more likely you'll be featured.

After each lesson, clients receive an email inviting them to rate their experience (1-5 stars) and leave a written review. Reviews appear on your profile and help families decide if you're the right fit.

First, don't panic - one bad review among many good ones won't hurt you. If you receive a negative review:

Yes! Let us know what promotion you want to run (first lesson 50% off, refer-a-friend discount, etc.) and we'll update your profile. Promotions are a great way to attract new clients.
Insurance & Liability

Yes. We strongly recommend all coaches maintain general liability insurance. This protects you if a client is injured during a lesson. CoachCenter provides the platform but doesn't insure individual coaching sessions.

No. You're responsible for your own insurance as an independent contractor. We can recommend insurance providers if needed - just ask at (614) 980-0599.

If a client is injured during your lesson:
Provide appropriate first aid and ensure they're safe
Document what happened

File a claim with your insurance company if needed
This is why having liability insurance is critical.

This depends on your insurance policy and the circumstances. We recommend having insurance that covers both bodily injury and property damage.
